Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry has shared a new update on her recovery after having a breast reduction surgery.
“Day 1 back at work since I got my surgery and I’m mostly feeling good!” Kailyn told her followers via Instagram Stories on Thursday, January 2.
“I can’t really do my hair or lift my hands that high… I’m hoping that tomorrow, [January 3], I’m going to post the first video for my surgery so you guys can ask all of the questions in the world.”
Kailyn, a mother of seven children, also teased that she planned to conduct a Q A session so she can post her answers along with photos and videos from her surgery and post-op later this week.
Late last month, Kailyn posted a selfie via Instagram Stories that showed her wearing a supportive bra.
“4 days post op,” Kailyn captioned the picture.
Kailyn also created a poll asking her followers, “Do you want breast reduction videos?” with the options of “yes” or “not really.”
The “Barely Famous” podcast host had revealed on Instagram days earlier that she was “out of surgery” and had a lot to share about going under the knife.
Kailyn opened up about wanting to reduce the size of her chest during the May 17 episode of her podcast.
“I want to get a boob job, right? I call around. I’m making these consultations to get a boob job,” Kailyn shared at the time, according to Us Weekly.
“You know what they told me? They told me I need to lose 40 pounds. So 40 or 50 pounds, more like 50, but maybe get away with 40 pounds, before they can even operate on me.”
Kailyn admitted that was an emotional moment for her because she’s been wanting to get her breasts done for a while.
“I’ve been wanting to do this breast reduction, implants, lift, whatever it is,” she reportedly said in Spring 2024.

“[My doctor] was like, ‘Do you still want to schedule this?’ I’m literally sobbing. Already the water works have started.”
Kailyn recalled the surgeon telling her that her BMI was “entirely too high” to have an operation.
“So when I did the math it comes down to needing to lose between 40-50 pounds,” Kailyn reiterated.
Kailyn reportedly first spoke, publicly, about having a breast reduction in early 2018 on her “Coffee Convos” podcast.
“When my trainer came here the other day, he took all my measurements to do the weight loss stuff, I was like, he went to obviously measure my chest and stuff too, checking everything,” Kailyn said, adding that she was “super nervous and hopeful” that she could undergo surgery.
Kailyn found fame when she appeared on the MTV series 16 Pregnant.
She later starred on Teen Mom 2 but did not return for Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.
